Site collector discovery and assets
Discover switches, servers, printers and unmanaged devices with read-only protocols, into one asset inventory.
Online version, always current: https://cloudvision360.com/docs/itops360/discovery-and-assets/
ITOps360 discovers your estate from each site without opening inbound ports, and reconciles everything into one inventory.
The site collector
A site collector at each location discovers assets using read-only protocols and calls out over HTTPS — no inbound firewall rules and no agent on the discovered devices. Passive ranges are never probed.
What it discovers
Using SNMP v1/v2c/v3, LLDP/CDP, switch MAC tables, ARP and Active Directory, the collector maps switches, servers, printers and other network devices, and surfaces rogue and unmanaged devices for review.
Unified asset inventory
Discovered assets join managed devices in one inventory. A device seen by several methods is reconciled into a single asset, with its discovery sources shown. Unmanaged and rogue devices are flagged so you can decide whether to manage, ignore or investigate them.
Set it up
Deploy a collector (Linux or Windows) at each site from Admin → Settings → Discovery (the gear at the bottom of the rail), give it read-only credentials for the protocols you use, and define the ranges to discover. The collector’s credentials are sealed to its own key. See also monitoring and topology and attack-path analysis.
